Calling All Members of The Gray Clan! Let’s Update “The Book”

It has been nearly 70 yrs. since The Gray Clan was originally published by a group of dedicated family historians and there are many generations/updates now missing. While they had the advantage of interviewing early generations, we now have the advantage of more readily available records.

Thinking about the legacy I’d like to leave behind, I’ve decided to take on the task of publishing an updated version of the book. There’s no way I can do this on my own and neither could our historian ancestors. If there were over 3,000 known descendants in the original book, just think of how many more there are now!

Their first step was to “call the clan” and locate descendants, so that’s what I’m doing now. If you’re a descendant of Thomas Gray or think your Grays may be related, please complete the form at the end of this page. I will use this info to create a directory of descendants and Gray genealogists. Your information will remain private unless you would like to connect with other family members.

This is going to be quite a project and at this point, I don’t have an ETA. I’m guessing it won’t be finished next week, next month or maybe even next year! 🙂 If you want updates on book progress, complete the form below or join our Facebook group.

  1. I have a couple of Thomas Grays and John Grays. I connect with Skibo Castle and also with a Georg Gray who evidently was an indentured servant in Maine.
